妖怪博士の晩酌 ｜05 七度狐 “Seven times fox”
七度狐
『七度狐』（しちどぎつね/ななたびきつね）は上方落語の演目に出てくる僕の大好きな化け狐の名前だ。
一度何かされると七度化かさないと気が済まないという
なんとも執念深く何ともプライドが高く何とも狐らしい。
上方落語を学ぶ上で基本とされる旅噺のうち、伊勢神宮への参詣をテーマとした全26編の大ネタ『伊勢参宮神乃賑』の7段目に位置するこの噺。
原話は、寛政10年（1798年）に出版された笑話本・「無事志有意」の一遍である『野狐』。

動画サイトでこういった演目が観れるのは非常にありがたい。
観てもらうとわかる様にこの噺はフルでやると長いため3つ目の化かしでサゲることが多い。
そのためこの先の話は廃れてしまい現代この先を完璧に演じられる噺家はほぼいない。
しかし現代創作落語の雄
桂文珍師が廃れてしまったこの先のくだりを創作したその名も『新編･七度狐』。
これが本当に素晴らしく恐ろしい。
七度化かすというギミックをうまく使った落語的ミステリー。

Seven times fox
“Seven times fox”
“Seven times fox” (Shichidogitsune / Nanatakitsune) is the name of my favorite fox that appears in the performance of Kamigata(Put simply western style) Rakugo.
The fox is vengeful and prideful. When the fox gets angry. He bewitch seven times to revenge.
Among the travel stories that are the basis of Kamigata Rakugo, this is the story located in the 7th of all 26 volumes of “Ise Sangu Kaminonigiwai(East trip)” with the theme of visiting Ise shrine.
The original story is, “Yako(Yokai of fox)”, which is a laughing story book published in 1798, “Bujishuui”.(Quotes from Wikipedia)

I am very thankful to see such a Rakugo on a video site.
As you see, this story is long if talk it to the end, it often ends with a third fake.
Therefore, there are almost no one can be performed perfectly until the end of this story.
However, Bunchin Katsura has recreated this story. This is really nice and scary. It’s effective to use the gimmick of seven times of fake.
It’s also boorish to talk in detail, so compare listening to legendaries rakugo. Good for your trip.
